Effective July 17, 2026. This policy describes ApplyLane version 0.10.1 Feedback Inbox.
What is stored
At your request, ApplyLane stores job details, source URLs, statuses, notes, follow-up dates, timestamps, settings, consent timestamps, a random device identifier, and pending sync changes in chrome.storage.local. The device identifier is not currently uploaded.
Page access
ApplyLane accesses the active page only after you click the extension. It reads that page to extract job-listing information for your review. It does not collect general browsing history.
Optional cloud sync
Cloud sync is off by default. If you enable it, your email address, authentication information, and saved job records are sent securely to ApplyLane's Supabase project for authentication, private backup, and cross-device synchronization. Your password is sent directly to Supabase and is not stored in the extension. A session token is kept locally.
Feedback and support
Users can explicitly submit feedback answers, aggregate usage counts, extension version, and browser locale to ApplyLane via Supabase without an account. Authorized support staff can reply in a private in-extension conversation. A random conversation token stays only in the current Chrome profile; ApplyLane stores only its cryptographic hash. The page offers an optional developer email contact; ApplyLane does not send email automatically. Feedback excludes saved jobs, notes, URLs, and contact details. Users must not submit resumes, application answers, passwords, or private messages.
Data sharing
Supabase processes synchronized data as ApplyLane's cloud infrastructure provider. Stripe processes optional subscription checkout and billing. ApplyLane has no advertising, analytics, remote code, or hosted AI and does not sell local, synchronized, or billing information.
Optional subscriptions
If you choose ApplyLane Pro, your account email is provided to Stripe when a billing customer is created. Stripe processes payment details on its hosted pages. ApplyLane does not receive or store your card number. It stores limited customer, subscription, plan or price, status, renewal, cancellation, and webhook-event records needed to provide, renew, recover, and manage Pro access and prevent duplicate processing.
Local exports
CSV, JSON, and extraction-diagnostic files are generated locally only when you request them. You decide whether and where those files are shared.
Your controls
You can edit or delete individual jobs, export or restore a backup, recover a password, clear local data, sign out while keeping local data, delete the complete cloud backup, permanently delete the account without deleting the local board, and manage or cancel a subscription through Stripe's secure customer portal. Account deletion also deletes feedback conversations.
Retention and security
Local records remain until you delete them, clear extension data, or remove the extension. Cloud jobs, feedback conversations, and the ApplyLane subscription mapping remain while your account exists and are deleted with the account. Stripe event identifiers are retained for webhook reliability and duplicate prevention; Stripe controls retention in its systems. ApplyLane transmits account, synchronized job, feedback, and billing-request data over HTTPS. Supabase provides authentication, database storage, row-level access controls, and server functions.
Limited use commitment
ApplyLane's use and transfer of information received from Chrome APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. ApplyLane uses this information only to provide or improve its disclosed job-tracking purpose, transfers it only as necessary to provide that purpose or as otherwise permitted by the policy, and does not use it for personalized advertising, creditworthiness, unrelated purposes, or human review except with the user's explicit consent or as required for security or legal compliance.
